Tarrytown Dance's dress code is strictly enforced.
Hair must be secured away from the face. No jewelry is allowed to be worn during class (stud earrings ok).
All instructors reserve the right to ask dancers to sit and observe class if they are not properly attired.
Please do not allow your dancer to wear dance shoes outside the studio.
Creative Movement
Pink leotard, pink tights, petal skirt optional (NO TUTUS),
pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes with Velcro closure.
Ballet/Tap 3,4,5-year old's - Ages 3-5
Pink leotard, pink tights, petal skirt optional (NO TUTUS), pink ballet shoes,
black tap shoes with Velcro closure. Hair in a bun or high pony.
Ballet/Tap/Jazz (5.5-6.5yrs) & Primary Ballet/Tap/Jazz (6-8yrs)
Black leotard, pink tights, petal skirt optional (NO TUTUS), pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes with Velcro closure,
BLACK slip-on jazz shoes. Hair in bun or ponytail (away from face).
Tap I/II
Leggings or dance shorts (any color), leotard or fitted dance top or crop bra tank (any color), black lace-up oxford-style tap shoes tap shoes required.
Hair in a ponytail, away from the face. A loose- fitted t-shirt or tank may be worn over a leotard.
Jazz, Drill Tech, Leaps & Turns
leggings or dance shorts (any color), leotard or fitted dance top or sports bra (any color), TAN jazz shoes
Lyrical, Contemporary, Improv
leggings or dance shorts (any color), leotard or fitted dance top or sports bra (any color),
half sole lyrical show, lyrical sock, or barefoot.
Ballet
All ballet classes must wear pink tights, pink ballet shoes (spit sole) and wear the color leotard for their level.
If taking a split-level class, wear the color of the ballet level indicated in your placement to class.
Matching skirts are optional.

Conditioning
Any color leggings, any color fitted dance top (no baggy clothing or shorts), tennis shoes.
Hip Hop
Leggings or sweatpants, tank top or t-shirt, CLEAN tennis shoes (team members-baggy clothing or tank or sports bra with baggy pants).
Boys
Black dance pants or shorts, white or black T-shirt, black dance shoes appropriate to the style of dance.
